Mauricio Pochettino has said he’ll take the point from Chelsea’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal, despite the Blues coming from a winning position to draw the game.

Cole Palmer’s first half penalty was doubled by Mykhailo Mudryk shortly after the start of the second period, and Chelsea looked to be cruising to what would have been an important win, only for the Gunners to end up equalising.

Declan Rice cut the deficit for the Gunners after pouncing on a poorly directed pass by Robert Sanchez, and moments later, Leandro Trossard came off the bench to make it 2-2.

Reacting to his side’s performance after the game, Pochettino admitted he was sad with the way the draw came, but insisted it was still a good result considering the opponent Chelsea played against.

“Of course, we are disappointed at the end, but we can’t only look at the last few minutes,” the Argentine said, per the official Chelsea website.

“There were many positive things. We were the better team. We lost two points in a way you never want to lose them, but after playing a team that was fighting for the Premier League last season, we can take many positives and be proud.

“We showed great character and personality. We were competitive, we deserved more, and we need to keep believing because good things will arrive. I like the way the players are feeling now. They are really upset. I want to see that. But we need to keep working. We are in a good way.”
