Jurgen Klopp is keeping tabs on Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen as he aims to bolster his attacking options.

The Nigerian was on duty for his country in the international break, and he was expected to feature in the games against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.

Osimhen however, only played in the 2-2 draw against the Saudis, lasting only 60 minutes before he was withdrawn with a hamstring injury.

According to The Sun, Klopp had one of his most trusted scouts in attendance for the game, which would imply that the German is considering signing Osimhen.

Osimhen was on fire for Napoli last season, and it was his goals that helped them to their first Serie A title in decades, but his relationship with the club appears to have been fractured recently after they mocked him on social media for missing a penalty.

Many clubs are looking to take advantage of the strained relationship between Osimhen and Napoli, although it may not be easy to do so after the club’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis recently insisted they’re in negotiations to extend the player’s contract.

Chelsea are reportedly also keen on signing the former Lille forward, with Mauricio Pochettino worried about his current attacking options.

Summer arrival, Christopher Nkunku remains sidelined until at least, December, which leaves the Blues with just Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja as their only strikers.
