The Athletic’s David Ornstein has claimed that Chelsea are indeed weighing up their options over the possibility of bringing in another striker in the January transfer window.

The Blues signed Nicolas Jackson in the summer, but the Senegal international has struggled to find his feet in the Premier League, scoring just three goals since his arrival.

Chelsea are however desperate to qualify for the UEFA Champions League this season, and have contemplated bringing in a world class finisher in January.

At the moment, no real targets have been identified, although ESPN, in a separate report, did claim that Napoli’s Victor Osimhen has been added to the transfer wishlist of Chelsea.

Chelsea were linked with a move for Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic in the summer, but the move didn’t go through eventually.
