Barcelona are reportedly keeping tabs on Ian Maatsen, according to a recent report by Sport.

Maatsen impressed a lot for Chelsea during pre-season, and even scored goals for the club.

The left-back has however struggled to start games for Chelsea since the start of the ongoing season— largely due to the presence of the likes of Ben Chilwell and Levi Colwill.

Maatsen has had to make cameos from the bench, which could tempt him to accept an offer to leave Stamford Bridge if a good one comes along.

Barcelona are in search of a replacement for Marcos Alonso, who is already 32, and Maatsen appears to be the man they want, seeing that he’s just 21.

Maatsen received a good offer to leave Chelsea in the summer, but the Dutchman turned it down in favour of playing for the Blues.
