Infinite Athlete boss, Charlie Ebersol has hailed Todd Boehly for his visionary style of sports ownership.

Boehly took over ownership of Chelsea from Roman Abramovic last year, but the American has been on the receiving end of harsh criticisms from fans and the media, due to the Blues’ inability to compete for trophies since then.

However Ebersol believes this is just a rebuilding era for Chelsea, whom he backs to go on and enjoy monumental success in the near future, like the Los Angeles Dodgers in the USA, who are also owned by Boehly.

He stated: “Take when Todd bought the Los Angeles Dodgers in professional baseball in 2012.

“The Dodgers had atrophied to the point of not being able to do anything.

“Now they’re perennial playoff contenders. They’re constantly in the conversation for the World Series.

“He’s not looking at three, six, nine-month increments at Chelsea, he’s looking at decades of ownership.

“I’ve always appreciated that about him.”
