Chelsea captain, Reece James has been slammed by football pundit, Alejandro Moreno for his injury troubles.

James has been on the receiving end of a number of long-term injuries at Chelsea over the last couple of years, causing him to miss large periods of each season.

However, despite his injury woes, the England International is still regarded by many as an important player, although Moreno disagrees.

“By definition MVP is most valuable player and in order to be a player, you have to be on the field,” said Moreno on ESPN.

“It’s not a situation in which I disagree with Sam in regard to the value of Reece James when he’s on the field.

“But if he is watching from the stands, then he has no use for me. He does nothing for me if I’m a Chelsea player, if I’m part of the Chelsea coaching staff or the front office.”
