A Chelsea fan has left many football lovers in shock, after sharing an image comparing the stats of Thiago Silva and Arsenal’s William Saliba.

The stats, which were generated from Squawka, show the number of clearances, duels, tackles and passes made by the two players, and in almost every area of defending, Silva is better than his Arsenal counterpart.

It’s a very interesting revelation, seeing as Arsenal fans like to rave about Saliba, with some of them even calling him ‘the best defender’ in the Premier League.

It is even more interesting to note that while Saliba is still very young, Silva is one year shy of 40, and shouldn’t be as good as he is now.
