Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has revealed the actual reason he let Cole Palmer sign for Chelsea during the summer window.
According to Daily star, Guardiola seems to believe he secured a better talent than Palmer in the City squad.
The Spanish coach believes Oscar Bobb is an even better prospect than Cole Palmer.
However, Palmer has impressed for Chelsea since joining Mauricio Pochettino’s side, scoring a goal and grabbing an assist in their 4-1 win against Burnley just before the international break.
Palmer has admitted he’s been surprised with his start to life at Chelsea.
“It has surprised me a bit but I know my own ability,” Palmer told reporters.
“And I knew that if I hit the ground running I’d have a chance and obviously make an impact. That’s why I went there.
“I thought I could break in. I looked at the squad and there are a lot of players who went, not as many as people would have thought in terms of attackers.”
