Mauricio Pochettino is said to be very angry with Steven Gerrard after the former Liverpool midfielder tried to sign a Chelsea player.

According to Football Transfers, Gerrard recently reached out to Conor Gallagher, with a view to lure the Chelsea midfielder to Al-Ettifaq.

The outlet claims that the Liverpool legend contacted Gallagher personally to ask whether he would like to join him in Saudi Arabia in January. The 23-year-old however rejected the approach, and told Gerrard he wants to remain at Chelsea where he has already started life well this season.

Gallagher is reportedly not interested in the mega money in Saudi Arabia, as he wants to build a career at boyhood club, Chelsea.

Poch is said to be particularly unhappy with Gerrard’s approach because it’s not the first time he has tried his antics with Chelsea. During his time at Aston Villa, he also attempted to lure Gallagher to Villa Park, and failed at it.
