Levi Colwill has admitted It feels different to play as a left-back, compared to when he is in his natural centre-back position.

Colwill has been deployed as a left-back for both Chelsea and England lately, following injuries to the likes of Ben Chilwell and Luke Shaw (Manchester United).

The England international has however excelled in the new role, even if it’s not exactly what he would have wanted, and he says playing is all that matters at this point.

Speaking after England’s 1-0 friendly win over Australia, he told BeIN Sport: “Obviously, it is a different role. But I have been playing there for my club and I am enjoying it and if it gives me a chance to start and to play, I’m all for it.”

With Chilwell not expected back any time soon, Colwill may well be set to continue in his new role as a left-back for Chelsea and England.
