Chelsea attacking midfielder Cole Palmer suffered an injury while with the England U21 squad.

Palmer was on the pitch for the Young Lions, as they thrashed Serbia 9-1 on Wednesday night.

The attacking midfielder however, didn’t finish the game after getting substituted in the 52nd minute with what seemed to be an injury.

England U21 boss, Lee Carsley has shared an update on Cole Palmer’s injury.

Chelsea fans have been sweating over the news, and Carsley has now revealed that it was a thigh injury.

“There are a few bumps and bruises and we will monitor Cole, but we will not be taking any chances,” said Carsley after the game.

It’s still unclear the extent of Palmer’s injury, but the youngster will have to be assessed before a final decision is taken ahead of the Arsenal game.
