Former Chelsea star, right-back Glen Johnson has backed the Blues to go on and turn their poor start to the season around, after winning their last three games across all competitions.
Chelsea claimed back to back victories against Fulham and Burnley in the Premier League, after sending Brighton out of the League Cup.
It’s a great run of results for Mauricio Pochettino and his men, who could only muster 1 win in their first six league games, and former full-back, Johnson believes recent results are positive signs.
He told Betfred (via Metro UK): “They’ve shown a lot of character to bounce back from their early season form and hopefully scoring four goals away from home is an indication that they’re going to start climbing the league table over the next few games.
“With the players they’ve got at their disposal, Chelsea should definitely not be sat in mid-table.”
