Conor Gallagher has hailed Raheem Sterling as a top player, following his performances for the Chelsea team this season.
Sterling joined the Blues from Manchester City in the summer of 2022, but he couldn’t quite replicate his form at the Etihad Stadium throughout the campaign, last term.
This season, however, the forward has been super-good for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, troubling defences with his pace, mesmerising skills and attacking threat. Sterling is also Chelsea’s top goalscorer of the season.
Speaking about his teammate while on international duty with England, Gallagher said: “He’s a top player. Mentally, he’s top as well. His attitude and professionalism is amazing. The last game against Burnley he was our best player and that shows you, so hopefully he can keep performing like that.”
Sterling is not a part of England’s current squad for the ongoing international break— something that Gareth Southgate has been heavily criticised for.
