French right-back, Malo Gusto has backed the ongoing rebuild at Chelsea.
Gusto moved to Stamford Bridge in the summer, and has already impressed for the Blues.
The 20-year-old is part of a new group of young players at Chelsea, but he has no doubts the team will gel with time.
Speaking on his transfer, and the Chelsea project, he said, per football.london: “Before signing for a big club like that, you think and find out about the situation. I wasn’t necessarily surprised, the club managers told me that it was a long-term project that could take time. Time to get started.
“Little by little with the team, we are trying to create a real group that will move forward together to put Chelsea back where they need to be and win everything.”
Gusto also spoke about the relationship he shares with his Chelsea countrymen, like Axel Disasi, Lesley Ugochukwu, Christopher Nkunku, and Benoit Badiashile.
He said: “We get along well, we try to help each other as much as possible. We all hope to play together in their same team.”
