Chelsea are set to offer Thiago Silva a new contract amid interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.
Silva, 39, has been one of Chelsea’s best signings in a long time, despite his age.
The Brazilian is also the most experienced player in the Blues squad, which makes his value to the club immeasurable.
According to Italian journalists, Nicolo Schira, Chelsea are set to offer Silva a new two year deal that will see him remain at Stamford Bridge until 2025.
The journalist adds that over the summer, some Saudi clubs made an attempt on the centre back, but he opted to remain at Chelsea.
He said: “Excl. – #Chelsea are ready to open talks to extend Thiago Silva’s contract until 2025.
“Some Saudi clubs have approached the Brazilian centre-back during the summer transfers window, but his priority was to stay at #CFC.”
