Romelu Lukaku has been told he should prepare to receive boos from Inter Milan fans when he returns to play against them next week.

The Belgian ditched Inter for rivals, AS Roma in the summer, and has already scored seven goals for Roma this season.

Ex-Inter and Roma star, Davide Santon said of Lukaku: “There will be a lot of boos, I think. I know the Inter fans well. I don’t know how the matter was handled. That is, what he wanted to do or not do. But Inter were certainly… they felt ridiculed, that’s it. It’s normal when we’re talking about an important player like Lukaku was.

“In my opinion, Inter have lost a lot. But also because Edin Dzeko, with whom I played together, and for me he was a very strong player, has gone. And he still is in Turkey, where he is making the difference. They have certainly lost a bit without the two but they have taken Marcus Thuram for the future. And he is already doing well.

“So let’s say that they have made their assessments but on a physical level and also in the short-term, they lost goals.”
