The world of football reacts as Eden Hazard announces retirement

Eden Hazard on Tuesday, announced he is retiring from football after playing for some of the biggest clubs in the world.

The Belgian, who played for Chelsea, Lille and Real Madrid, was one of the most loved footballers in the game during his hay days. And that probably explains the amount of appreciation he has received since the news of his retirement surfaced.

Bruno Fernandes, Kylian Mbappe, Juan Mata and former Chelsea teammate, Willian are among those that have reacted to the news of Hazard’s retirement.

Mata said: “Oh how I enjoyed playing with this guy… One of the best. Enjoy your new chapter my friend, you deserve it, thanks for bringing your joy to football.”

Ex-Chelsea manager and player, Frank Lampard wrote: “Congratulations. What talent, and what a career. It was a pleasure to play with you, and you are a top man in every way. Good luck with what comes next.”

Kylian Mbappe: “The great Eden, thank you.”

Thibaut Courtois: “Thank you for everything my friend!”

Willian: “It was a huge pleasure to play with you my brother, may God continue blessing your life. Thank you for everything love you bro!!!”

Bruno Fernandes: “Thanks for all the good moments you gave to the world of football. All the real fans of this beautiful sport enjoyed watching you.”
