Nicolas Jackson has been operated upon ahead of Chelsea’s meeting with Arsenal, which comes up immediately after the international break.
The Chelsea forward picked up a wrist injury as Chelsea beat Brighton 1-0 more than a week ago. He also had his wrist bandaged during the wins over Fulham and Burnley— finding the net as the Blues thrashed the Clarets 4-1.
The Senegal international was called-up to take part in his country’s matches against Cameroon and South Sudan, but he has since withdrawn for health reasons, per the Mirror.
The good news, however, is that Jackson’s surgery isn’t expected to hamper his participation in Chelsea’s clash with Arsenal in less than two weeks, which means that fans can relax their nerves.
