Romeo Lavia has revealed he predicted Cole Palmer would get on the scoresheet for Chelsea on Saturday.

Palmer netted his first Chelsea goal, as the Blues thrashed Burnley 4-1 in front of their own fans.

The goal came from the penalty spot after Raheem Sterling was fouled just as he drove into the opposition penalty box. Palmer also picked up an assist in the game, setting up Chelsea’s fourth, which came through Nicolas Jackson.

Taking to his social media after the game, Lavia shared a screenshot of his conversation with Palmer ahead of the meeting with the Clarets.

The chat starts with a message from Lavia, which reads, “First Prem Goal today! I can feel it,” to which Palmer replied, “Let’s geritttttttt”.

Lavia, who is currently injured, also shared another photo, celebrating Palmer’s goal after the game, as if to imply that his prediction came to pass.

Both players understandably share a good friendship having played together during their time at Manchester City.
