Chelsea paid £53m to sign talented teenage midfielder Romeo Lavia during the summer transfer window.

However, the midfielder hasn’t played a single game for Chelsea since signing from Southampton in August.

The Belgian broke his ankle in training, and reports had claimed it would take at least one month to recover from the injury.

Lavia was expected to return after the October international break, with reports claiming that he could be available for the October 21 game against Arsenal.

However, that may not be the case, as Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that the player is yet to start running.

On Romeo Lavia’s injury recovery, the Chelsea boss said: “I don’t believe. I cannot tell you but he is still not running.

“After the international break he will not be back.”
