Chelsea are reportedly preparing to offer Conor Gallagher an improved new deal, following his good form for the club since the start of the season.

Gallagher is one of the few home-grown players in the current Chelsea squad.

The midfielder was close to exiting Stamford Bridge in the last two transfer windows, but ended up staying, and he has since shown he has what it takes to compete with the very best by earning the trust of the manager and starting every league game so far this season.

The 23-year-old is keen to remain at Chelsea and help the club where he grew up, return to the top of European football, and according to The Mail, talks over a new deal are set to start soon, as he enters the final 18 months of his existing contract.
