Chelsea are pondering cutting short Andrey Santos’s loan move to Nottingham Forest, according to a new report.
The Brazilian joined Steve Cooper’s side on a season-long loan move in the summer transfer window, with hopes of getting some much-needed minutes. However, that hasn’t been the case, as the youngster has made just one start for Forest since then, which came in the Carabao Cup— a competition they have now exited.
According to The Athletic, Santos’ loan contract to Forest includes a break clause, which Chelsea are considering triggering in January.
The loan also contains financial penalties for Forest if they don’t play the midfielder, although Cooper has recently insisted Santos does have a place in his squad in the future.
