Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that Marc Cucurella is part of his plans for the 2023/2024 season.

According to the Argentine coach, the 25-year-defender is a required player in the team.

Cucurella who is yet to make a mark since his switch from Brighton to Stamford Bridge in 2022, might get more play time from his boss.

Cucurella impressed massively against Brighton, and has left Pochettino impressed.

Pochettino said: “I was not involved, but he is our player and I have been very clear. He has the chance to play.

“Marc will work hard. It is quite clear. He is part of our plans and if he deserves to play he will.”
