Chelsea might be without 21-year-old Ian Maatsen by January transfer window following both parties’ inability to reach an agreement of a new contract.
According to the Telegraph, the Netherlands international has not been able to reach an agreement on a new deal with the Stamford bridge outfit.
With the youngster’s contract set to expire by the end of the season, the Blues might consider selling him during the January transfer window if a deal is still not struck by the end of the year
Having spent last season on loan with Vincent Kompany’s Burnley, Maatsen refused a chance to join the team on the last day of the transfer window after Chelsea accepted a £31.5m offer for the full-back.
Ian Maatsen has made three appearances as a substitute for Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the Premier League this season recording his second start during Chelsea’s Carabao Cup victory against Brighton.
