Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed Ben Chilwell picked up an injury in the late minutes of the Carabao Cup clash against Brighton.

The Blues knocked out Brighton & Hove Albion from the third round of the Carabao Cup.

The news may come as a concern, given Chilwell’s history of hamstring problems. The player had a similar situation which kept him out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Speaking after the game, Pochettino told the reporters: “Yes, we need to assess tomorrow but I think it is [his] hamstring.”
