Mauricio Pochettino’s side have had a poor start this season – recording three losses, two draws and one win so far in the Premier League.
Speculations have it that the form is disastrous for a team like Chelsea and it could cause Pochettino his job. However, Chelsea owners have not given that a thought yet as they are still willing to give the Argentine coach some time.
Former Chelsea player Chris Sutton has said that although the club owners are not considering the option of sacking Pochettino, fans agitation can be a drive.
He also added that had it been that it was former owner Roman Abramovich who was still in charge, Pochettino would have been history.
In a statement with Daily Mail, Sutton said: “There comes a time when Mauricio Pochettino starts needing to get results. But with saying that, it’s not Roman Abramovich who’s the owner where there’s the possibility, if he was the owner, of Pochettino being sacked.
“Pochettino does need time, but he needs results. His biggest issue, I suspect, will be the Chelsea supporters. If there’s 100 supporters banging on the door outside the ground then it’s not an issue. If there’s 5,000 wanting him out, then it is.”
