According to a report on 90min, Premier League side Brentford are already preparing for the potential exit of striker Ivan Toney amid interest from Chelsea.
Toney was allowed to return to first-team training at the start of this week as part of stipulations in his eight-month ban from football imposed by FA for breaches of betting regulations. He will be allowed to play competitively again in January 2024.
Chelsea see the England striker as the solution to the club’s goalscoring problems and have identified him as a potential target in January.
Brentford have now identified Wolfsburg’s Jonas Wind, AZ Alkmaar’s Vangelis Pavlidis and Santos’ Marcos Leonardo as potential replacements for Toney.
