No exit for Reece James

As per Ben Jacobs on GiveMeSport, Mauricio Pochettino’s side have no intention of parting ways with English defender Reece James.

The 23-year-old who is currently on a £250,000-a-week contract, will not be exiting from the Stamford Bridge anytime soon.

James is the club’s first choice right-back and is a fan favourite having come through Cobham and was handed the armband by Mauricio Pochettino ahead of the 2023/24 season.

However, though James has an unquestionable quality, his unavailability is a major concern that more or less negates his impact on the field. Considering Chelsea’s financial state lately, it is only natural that some may question if they are better off without an injury-prone player.

Nevertheless, the West London side have other plans and are unwilling to even consider offers for their skipper. They view him as an essential instrument to the club’s future plans and as long as he can stay fit, it could very well prove to be the case.
