Moises Caicedo’s agent has revealed why the midfielder snubbed a move to Liverpool and joined Chelsea instead.

Speaking about Caicedo’s decision to choose Chelsea, his agent Andrea Pellegatti suggested that his client never had any intention of completing a move to Anfield.

“It was finalised in the last few hours, but the boy only wanted Chelsea, who had started to show their interest consistently since January,” he told Sport Italia.

It has not quite been the fairytale start Caicedo would have hoped for, though. The Ecuador international has made four appearances for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who have won just one of their five Premier League games so far.
