Former Chelsea defender William Gallas has blasted Chelsea board over the Club’s failure.

The former Chelsea and Arsenal centre-back is displeased with the Blues performance so far this season.

After spending a huge amount of money during the summer transfer window, Pochettino’s side have picked just five points from five Premier League games played so far.

The France international who won two Premier League titles with Chelsea believes that the squad is too young.

Speaking with Genting Casino, Gallas said: “There are a handful of experienced players at Chelsea.

“The club has decided to invest heavily in young talent – they  have spent so much money.

“When you spend the kind of money that Chelsea have on players, you’re expecting to sign players that have achieved something.

“I really think that Chelsea have failed. The board have failed again. They will not achieve their targets this season.

“lt’s going to be very difficult for Thiago Silva this year. He seems to feel alone because he knows that the players are young and that they won’t be ready to fight for the title this season.

“They’ll be ready in the next two years. This is a team for the future, not for now.”
