Chelsea youngster lan Maatsen reportedly turned down several contract offers from the Blues.

Maatsen looks a promising young talent after impressing on loan at Burnley last season, as he helped them win promotion to the Premier League.

According to The Athletic, states it wasn’t easy for the club to reach an agreement with the youngster.

At some point, it seemed as though Maatsen would be sold to make room for other signings.

The 21-year-old will be hoping to continue with his first team breakthrough this season.
