According to reports, Chelsea are hopeful of having Moises Caicedo and Noni Madueke available for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Aston Villa.

The Blues have endured a poor start to the new campaign, claiming just five points from five Premier League games so far.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side were on Sunday held to a goalless draw against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium. The Blues boss after the game acknowledged his frustration at having to use a depleted squad.

Chelsea were missing as many as 11 players for the game against Bournemouth, including Caicedo and Madueke.

Caicedo who is the most expensive signing in British football history – had been hoping to make just his third start after completing his move from Brighton.

The midfielder however returned from international duty  with a knee issue, resulting in Chelsea taking no risks with his fitness.

Meanwhile, Madueke, who arrived the club in January, sustained a muscle issue while representing England Under-21s.

Upon his move to Stamford Bridge from PSV Eindhoven in January, Madueke has had just two goal contribution from 15 appearances, with a total of 769 minutes across those games.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are positive that both players will be back in performance for Saturday’s fixture against Villa.
