Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has been linked with an exit from the Bridge following new summer midfield recruitments.
Although, Gallagher has featured in all Chelsea’s five games of the season so far, he seems to be struggling to convince his boss, Mauricio Pochettino.
The Blues spent almost £200m on the arrivals of Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, and Lesley Ugochukwu who are set to fight for their places in Chelsea’s midfield.
Spurs, West Ham, Crystal palace and Newcastle reportedly made an offer for the midfielder during the summer transfer window, having been linked with an exit from the club. The Blues also rejected a bid from Everton during the January transfer window.
According to Evening Standard, Gallagher is one of several players ‘battling to convince’ Pochettino that they can be a part of his plans, alongside Marc Cucurella, who saw a loan move to Manchester United break down, and lan Maatsen, who rejected a permanent move to Burnley.
