Thiago Silva has done well at Chelsea, since signing as a free agent from PSG.
The 38-year-old is in the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge.
Still a top player, it’s yet to be seen if Chelsea would extend the Brazilian’s contract beyond this season.
Flumininse president Mario Bittencourt has called on Thiago Silva to return back to the club after his contract with Chelsea expires.
“It depends much more on him than on us, but he said that when his contract ends there, he will return home. I hope he comes back,” Bittencourt told ESPN.
Silva played for Fluminense between 2007 and 2009 — it was his last club before he moved to Europe.
Silva has started all four of Chelsea’s Premier League games this season.
