Chelsea have been in negotiation with Corinthians for Gabriel Moscardo, with talks said to be advancing.

In a board meeting on Monday evening, club president Duilio Monteiro opened up to some transfer business we’ve been involved in.

Speaking to Meu Timao, Ricardo Bonomo revealed some things said by the Club chief.

Monteiro admitted how good the player is, but further stated that considering how good the player is, Corinthians might make more money from the youngster when the transfer window opens next year.

“And there was another proposal for a player, Moscardo himself, he said: ‘look, just so you know, the price would now be £20m in cash. The advantage is that I would take the money and keep the player. But they don’t need him either, it would be a good deal’. Moscardo is a player who should still bear fruit here, there’s still the Olympics coming up and it’s believed that the deal will be even bigger, that’s what president Duilio said.”

The chief advised that Chelsea should close a deal with Corinthians now to avoid competitions from other clubs next summer.
