Chelsea’s injury problems could be set to worsen after Mykhailo Mudryk hobbled off with a suspected calf problem in Euro 2024 qualifying on Saturday.
Chelsea already have about ten players currently injured and Mudryk coming off injured against England isn’t what Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino wants.
Mudryk started for Ukraine as they secured a 1-1 draw against England but requested to be replaced in the 90th minute after he got hurt in Wrocław.
The 22-year-old fell to the floor holding his calf after a failed Cruyff turn as he tried to get past Three Lions defender Kyle Walker.
In the first half, Mudryk also required medical treatment following a challenge from Marcus Rashford.
Mudryk was able to continue after that but the calf problem he sustained in the second half proved to be too much as he was subbed off and replaced.
