Chelsea legend John Terry has urged Chelsea fans to trust Chelsea owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.

Boehly and Clearlake Capital bought the club from former owner Roman Abramovich last year and have spent around £1billion on the squad, investing on young players with high potentials.

Their investment hasn’t really been rewarded with success on the pitch but Terry is confident Chelsea will be back sooner rather than later.

Terry said as quoted by Simon Phillips: “I’ve come across Todd Boehly 5 or 6 times. They are trying all they can. They have all the right intentions.

“Frank was dealing with it closely and they are trying to do the right things long term. All we can do is trust them. I believe we will be back.”
