Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko during the January transfer window.
This is according to Simon Phillips who claims Chelsea have already started shortlisting centre-forwards ahead of the January transfer window.
Phillips said: “Chelsea want to bring a striker in. They want to bring a striker in January. They’re working on that straightaway now.
“As I reported on here, the priority is Ivan Toney. Chelsea would like to try and do a pre-deal to get him in January. The trouble is a lot of other clubs are trying to do the same thing and also want him as well.
“Chelsea have other options. A few names that Chelsea are looking at is Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig. He’s been on their radar for quite a long time.”
Sesko has previously claimed he is a better striker than Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.
Sesko said: “My teammates at the club tell me that Haaland and I are very similar, especially in terms of speed. Most of them even tell me that I’m better than him!”
