Spanish side Real Madrid remain interested in signing Chelsea right-back and captain Reece James, according to Defensa Central via Hard Tackle.
Real Madrid see James as the ideal successor to Dani Carvajal and are ready to push for the signing of the Chelsea star in the summer of 2025.
The Reece James to Real Madrid rumours has refused to die despite the right-back signing a new long-term deal with the club last season until 2029. He has also been made Chelsea captain following the exit of Cesar Azpilicueta this summer.
Carvajal is an important player for Real Madrid but the Spanish right-back turns 33 in 2025 and Real Madrid believe that is the ideal time to sign James as his replacement.
