Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has praised Conor Gallagher for his solid start to the season in Chelsea’s midfield.

Gallagher has started every game for Chelsea this season and captained the Blues to a 2-1 victory over AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge.

“Conor is a great professional, his commitment with the club, with the team,” Pochettino said.

“I’m so happy for him because he’s showing great character, great commitment, he’s playing very well.”
