Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed Chelsea really want to sign Manchester City attacking midfielder Cole Palmer before the transfer window closes on Friday.

Romano tweeted: “Chelsea add Cole Palmer to list of talented offensive players being considered for final addition!

“Chelsea are set to open talks soon as they see Palmer as best solution.

“It remains to be seen Man City position on Palmer but Chelsea really want him.”

Palmer made his Man City debut in the 2020/21 campaign before making his Premier League debut the following season.

The 21 year old played 25 games in all competitions last season, scoring one goal.

This season, he has made three appearances, scoring against Arsenal in the Community Shield and Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup.
