According to the Telegraph, Chelsea have enquired about the availability of Sporting Lisbon attacking midfielder Marcus Edwards, who Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino nicknamed ‘mini Messi’.
Chelsea are in the market to sign a versatile attacker who can play at right wing and as a No.10 and the Edwards certainly fits those requirements.
While Chelsea have enquired about signing Edwards, the report noted that nothing has advanced yet.
Barcelona attacker Raphinha and Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe are also on Chelsea’s shortlist.
Pochettino has made it clear that he would like a new offensive player to be Premier League ready.
