West Ham are closing in on signing Chelsea transfer target and Ajax forward Mohammed Kudus, according to the Sun.

West Ham technical director Tim Steidten is in Holland for face-to-face talks to get a deal for the £40m-rated midfielder over the line.

The 23 year old Ghana World Cup star was close to joining Brighton earlier in the window only for the move to break down over a release clause request in his contract.

West Ham are reportedly open to Kudus having a release clause in his contract and have progressed in talks to sign the Ghana international.
