William Gallas, who spent five years at Stamford Bridge, has delivered his verdict on Moises Caicedo following his record-breaking £115m move to Chelsea.
Gallas told Genting Casino: “Moises Caicedo had a great season with Brighton last year.
“Football has changed though, after just one season in the Premier League, his price has increased dramatically.
“People are already saying he could be the best player in the Premier League and in Europe, but we must give him time to convince us.
“That is a problem in football, the media are saying after one season he will be the best player in the league.
“If he joins Chelsea, it will be great. At the same time though, there was the potential to have looked at players with more experience.”
