According to the Athletic via Metro, Chelsea player Lewis Hall is pushing to join Newcastle United this summer because he is a Newcastle United fan.
Newcastle have had a number of bids for Hall rejected, but another offer is in and the player is keen to make the switch.
The 18-year-old made his Premier League debut for the Blues last season and would go on to make nine appearances in the top flight.
Despite recently signing a new contract until 2030, Hall is pushing to leave Chelsea to join Newcastle United.
Newcastle have had multiple bids turned down for Hall this summer but have another one on the table, with Chelsea wanting at least £30m for the teenager.
Chelsea were happy for Hall to leave on loan this season, with Crystal Palace a possible destination, but if Newcastle pay £30million for the 18 year old then a permanent departure will happen.
While the England Under-21 international clearly has a lot of promise, a fee of at least £30m for a player who has made just 12 first team appearances would seemingly be good business for the Blues.
