Chelsea are now interested in signing Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson after being snubbed by Michael Olise, according to talkSPORT.
The Blues are keen to bolster our frontline options and had agreed a deal to sign Olise from Crystal Palace after triggering his release clause.
However, Olise has made a U-turn and has decided to stay at Selhurst Park, agreeing a four-year contract to remain at the club.
With Olise no longer interested in joining Chelsea, the Blues are now pushing to sign Nottingham Forest winger Johnson.
Chelsea have held preliminary talks with Steve Cooper’s side over a potential transfer for Johnson.
Nottingham Forest have already rejected a £40million offer from Brentford for Johnson this summer.
Johnson played every game for Forest last season in the Premier League. He scored eight times and made three assists in his debut campaign in the top-tier and has been tipped as a star in the making.
