According to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, Moises Caicedo has today completed the first part of his Chelsea medical.

Chelsea have agreed a British record fee of £115million with Brighton to sign Caicedo and the Ecuadorian midfielder has agreed an eight year contract with Chelsea, with the Blues having the option to extend for another year.

Caicedo is expected to finalise his Chelsea medical today. An announcement from Chelsea is also expected soon.

After beating Liverpool to the transfer of Caicedo, Chelsea are hoping to beat Liverpool to the transfer of Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia.
