Former Chelsea striker Diego Costa has completed a move to Brazilian side Botafogo.

The 34-year-old spent last season with Wolves, scoring just once in 25 games before he was released.

Costa was signed by former Wolves manager Bruno Lage, who is now in charge of Botafogo. He has penned a short-term deal that runs until the end of the season.

On joining Botafogo, Costa said: “I’m very happy to have been chosen to be part of the family. Thanks and I see you soon.”

Costa won the Premier League twice with Chelsea in 2015 and 2017, finding the back of the net 59 times across three seasons in all competitions.
