According to Sky Sports, Chelsea have agreed to pay the release clause of Leeds United midfielder and USA international Tyler Adams.

The report also adds that Adams will undergo his Chelsea medical in the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, according to Daily Echo via GOAL, Chelsea have lodged a massive bid for Southampton’s Romeo Lavia as the Blues rival Liverpool’s interest in the midfielder.

Chelsea have reportedly made an offer worth £48 million ($61m) including add-ons. Liverpool’s most recent offer of £45m ($57m) was rejected by Southampton on Monday.

Southampton’s asking price for the 19-year-old is £50m ($63m). Liverpool have been reluctant to match Southampton’s asking price because they do not believe he is worth that much given his inexperience.
