According to Daily Mail, Chelsea have identified Leeds midfielder Tyler Adams and are ready to activate the midfielder’s release clause.
The Blues are keen to add more midfield reinforcements ahead of the new season and are set to activate the £20million release clause of the Leeds midfielder.
Adams only joined Leeds from RB Leipzig last summer and isn’t keen on spending the season playing in the Championship following the club’s relegation to English football’s second-tier.
Chelsea are prepared to formalise a deal for the 24-year-old American international and could look to bring him in before their opening Premier League clash against Liverpool.
Aston Villa and other top-flight sides hold interest, but Adams is understood to favour a move to Stamford Bridge as the club’s rebuild continues.
Adams made 24 Premier League appearances for Leeds last season but failed to register a goal or assist as the side slumped to relegation.
